Today during 3 Things You Need to Know, I mentioned 9-year-old Orion Filippazo.
Orion is from Towson and is a published author of TWO graphic novels, which he wrote and illustrated himself.
The books, "Super Cavemand" and "Super Caveman: Future Frolic" are benefitting a good cause too! In August 2022, after the release of his first book, Orion was able to raise $1,000 for Hopewell Cancer Support. An organization he knows well because of his mom's cancer diagnosis.
With his second book: "Super Caveman: Future Frolic," Orion is giving back again. Joe Filippazo told WMAR, Quote:
"And with this book, we tried to do something a little different; what we decided to do was for every $8 that he raises, he'll be able to donate one of the books to a child either at a medical facility or a local support organization that is either undergoing cancer treatment or is someone affected by cancer just like Orion.”
