Tiger Woods is out of the woods after being involved in a serious single-car crash in Los Angeles yesterday morning.
According to one responding officer, Tiger was conscious and lucid when he got there.
According to a statement from Tiger’s official Twitter account, he underwent an extensive surgical procedure on his lower right leg and ankle, which included the insertion of rods and pins.
The statement said, “[Tiger] is currently awake, responsive, and recovering in his hospital room,” the statement continues. After thanking the hospital staff, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Fire Department, it concludes with, “There are no further updates at this time and we continue to thank you for your well-wishes and privacy for him and his family.”
Overnight, Tiger's team reports that he's currently awake, responsive, and recovering in his hospital room.
