I BROKE UP WITH BOOZE.
PHEW! There. I did it. Its out there. I don't know why I was so nervous to tell everyone about a decision that has ultimately been so good for my life. As of last Sunday it been six whole months since I told myself was gonna commit to being a healthier me.
I can remember being so frustrated that I was working out so hard and not getting anywhere near the results I wanted. Not to mention I wasn't in the best place mentally. Being that I'm not a person who wants to sit around and complain, and pretend that things were are going to change I decided to do something about it . I wont say it was easy...but its didn't suck as much as I thought it was going to. My gol was two months because, well everyone does a month and I wanted to be different or something. Once I hit that I wanted more. here we are a half a year later and I'm so happy I took this little adventure.
Funny that right around the time I decided to quit I was contacted by Jesse from The Mocktail Project to do and interview and spread the word. Once I hit the 6th month mark I thought it would be a perfect time to highlight the amazing things they are doing.
When I first gave up the sauce I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to have fun anymore. Let's face it, almost 90% of the work events and outings that I go to involved alcohol of some sort. But after awhile I found that I didn't even really miss it all that much.

"WE ARE A MOVEMENT HELPING TO CREATE A SAFER,MORE INCLUSIVE DRINKING CULTURE. "
The recipes they have for the non drinker are so freaking yummy, and I love that they are trying to break the stigma that comes along with being the sober friend in the group. Whatever the reason, weather someone is pregnant, doing a cleanse, or in recovery, they aim to make it not so awkward to still being included in the party. FREAKING LOVE THAT!
Hope you guys enjoy this one!!
