Miss USA Crowned In Las Vegas

This year's Miss USA crown goes to Miss District of Columbia Kara McCullough. She's a 25-year-old scientist with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Damn! She will now go on to compete for the title of Miss Universe. Her win however wasn't without controversy. During an interview segment, she was asked if healthcare is a right or privilege (she said privilege) and about feminisim (she doesn’t like the term ‘feminist’, she prefers the term ‘equalist.’) People were not digging that.

The first runner-up was Miss New Jersey Chhavi Verg and the second runner-up was Meridith Gould of Minnesota.

JetBlue Accused Of Kicking Family From Flight Over Birthday Cake

Now we can add Jet Blue to the list of airline controversies that have popped up recently. They have been accused of kicking a family off of a flight due to the mother's 40th birthday cake.  As the story goes, Cameron Burke, his wife, Minta, and their two children were flying to Las Vegas to connect with family for a birthday celebration. They had a special cake that was first put into an overhead bin. And that’s where the two versions of the story get a little hairy. The Burkes say Cameron tried to step in when it appeared that one flight attendant went at another over the cake storage. He says that the angry employee then accused him of bad behavior, to which he replied, “Have you been drinking?”..WHOOPS! Jet Blue claims that Cameron was out of control and the video online doesn't show the full story.

Talking to the Mad Genius Behind Topshop's WTF Jeans

First we has the jeans with the clear panels in the knees and now we have ones that are completely clear at $100 a pop. Ayiyi.

The funny thing is that TopShop knows we are laughing at them. The line's creator Mo Riach said "We want to disrupt. We want to do something that will get people talking," she says. "It's a positive thing. Debate and discussion is a positive thing, and we have our customers coming to our site as a result of that."

Well they are sold out online so they are doing something right.

This kid is a BOSS!!

Carson Huey-You is the youngest student to graduate from Texas Christian University. He has a physics major with minors in math and Chinese. He said his favorite thing about college has been getting to learn things he never thought about, things he never knew existed and things he might not even think about thinking about. He also says he's learned how to deal with "some real hard classes" and get over the disappointment of a poor score on a test. The self-described "normal dude" wants to work on getting graduate degrees in quantum mechanics.
