United Passenger Dragged Off Flight Reaches ‘Amicable’ Settlement with Airline

The doctor that was dragged off a United Airlines flight has reached an "amicable" settlement with the company. The settlement is going to stay private, but Dr. David Dao's lawyer did make a statement praising United's CEO.

“Mr. Munoz said he was going to do the right thing, and he has. In addition, United has taken full responsibility for what happened on Flight 3411, without attempting to blame others, including the City of Chicago. For this acceptance of corporate accountability, United is to be applauded."

Now in the wake of all of this United has announced that they will be offering up to $10,000 for passengers that have to give up their seats. They also said they are trying to not eliminate, but reduce overbooking flights.
