Fresh Express Salad Recall And Bat Safety Tips

Gross!!! Fresh Express announced a precautionary recall of some of its prepackaged salad mixes after a couple in Florida found a DEAD BAT in one of their salad bags. Th recalled bags are the Organic Marketside Spring Mix that were sold at Walmart stores in the Southeastern region of the US. They actually ate the salad before they discovered the dead rodent. Barf.

Disney World Just Introduced a Magical Dress Collection for Grown-Up Fans

Disney World recently opened a new retro apparel and accessory shop called the Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane at Disney Springs. The whimsical collection is inspired by Disney movies, characters, and park attractions. They range in prices from $100 to $160.

Having A Dog Is Good For Your Baby’s Health

According to a new study kids that live in a home with pets have a lower risk of getting allergies or being obese later in life because of the high levels of certain bacteria in their homes. Having dogs in the house increases children’s exposure to two gut microbes, Ruminococcus and Oscillospira, both indirectly while the baby’s still in the womb, and directly from the pooch in the child’s first three months. Such early exposure to dirt and bacteria is believed to help boost a child’s immunity early in life. Well cool.

You May Be Able to Get From NYC to D.C. in 20 Minutes Soon

We might soon be able to travel from NYC to D.C. in only 20 minutes! The company Hyperloop One has presented a plan for a high speed tube that could ferry passengers between locations at 700 miles per hour. It usually takes three hours to get to NYC from D.C. by train.

Amazon Just Announced It's Adding 5,000 Work-From-Home Jobs

Last week Amazon announced that it will be adding more than 5,000 new part-time roles which allows employees to work from home as an agent in its customer service organization. The perks aren't bad either. Along with being able to work remotely, part-time employees who work 20 hours a week or more will be able to receive company benefits like paid time off, savings plans and health care. They can also participate in Amazon's Career Choice program that pre-pays 95% of tuition and fees for certificates and associate degrees.
