Always Removing the Female Symbol from Sanitary Products
By @KalaTweets_
Always is going gender neutral. The brand has decided to remove the female symbol from their sanitary product packaging as a way to be more inclusive to transgender and gender-non-conforming customers.
The Venus sign that currently appears on the packaging will be removed by the beginning of December, according to Proctor & Gamble. Trans activists began voicing their concerns over the packaging back in June, and now LGBTQ health experts are praising the company’s decision. Of course, not everyone is happy. In fact someone started the hashtag #boycottAlways, suggesting the move was “erasing women.”
