Yeah you could go to the beach or lay by the pool all summer but those pictures of #HotdogsorLegs get old quickly. So I have created a list of fun summer events that will A.) Make your Instagram POP B.) Be outside the norm C.) Help you have a memorable summer!
Truckeroo
I feel like not a lot of people in the DMV are not talking about this and I try to attend as often as I can! Truckeroo is a monthly festival held at The Bullpen that showcases the hottest food trucks in the DC area. Held April through September, Truckeroo is a family friendly event and features live music, cold drinks, games, and more.
2019 DATES - 4/19, 5/10, 6/7 (THIS FRIDAY), 6/28, 7/19, 8/2, 8/23, 9/20
Tip: Schedule it the same day as a Nats game for twice the fun!
Pinknic
If you want to get out of the DMV how about a day trip to NYC? Have you heard of Pinknic...no I did not spell "picnic" wrong! There are so many types of festivals that get overshadowed by Coachella and I think it is time they have their moment in the sun.
Pinknic is new festival at Randall's Island Park where you can enjoy food, live music and o! The theme is PINK! Sounds too girly? Well ton of men attend to to check out the acts and enjoy a summer day near the water.
This event is guaranteed to make your Instagram stand out!
Movies on the Potomac
NYC too far for you? How about watching a movie under the stars by the National Harbor. Everything is free! All you need to bring is a blanket, snacks and yourself! The movies are scheduled every Thursday at 7PM and Sunday at 6PM this summer!
These are not older movies that we have all seen before! The schedule include very popular (and recent) films like Crazy Rich Asians (2018), How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019) and so many more!
