An Unwanted Rescue Dog Just Became A Police K-9 Unit

Get ready to have an "awww moment" because an unwanted rescue dog just started his new career of becoming a police K-9 after the shelter workers decided to take him through training!

Arrow is a Belgian Malinois and was returned to the shelter twice because he wasn't a good fit with the families who originally rescued him and after spending eight months in the shelter, he is now part of Lower Southampton Township's police department in Pennsylvania.

Luckily Arrow had a shelter attendant who say his potential and helped him get connected with a training service to help disabled veterans. Arrow wasn't a perfect match for that service, but his behaviors were perfect to become a K-9 unit!

The even cooler part is that Arrow is the first K-9 unit for the Lower Southampton Township since the 1960s where he is both a patrol dog and a drug-scent dog! Got to love happy endings for dogs!!

You can see photos from Arrow's induction ceremony below!
