The Dodge Neon Was Supposed To Be Cool


You don't have to think back too far to remember the Dodge Neon. Heck, some are still on the roads, inexplicably! But the Neon we know wasn't supposed to be the Neon they wanted us to have...

Take a look at that short video above to see a "lost" clip from 1991 showing the CONCEPT version of the Neon. To be fair, it's rare for a concept to stay the same as it goes through the production process, but sheesh, the Neon we got was totally different!

According to Jalopnik, this concept has doors that open like elevators, full-length rollback roof, a 2-stroke engine (like a boat) and a TRASH COMPACTOR. Yeah, you read that right. Where is our car from the future??
