Game Of Thrones Is Re-Releasing In 4K On HBO Max In August

We're only a few weeks away from returning to Westeros and the larger world of Game of Thrones again with the series premiere of House of the Dragon, but you can soon rewatch the original Game of Thrones in 4K!

HBO Max just announced that all eight seasons of the original series will be able to stream in 4K HDR with support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which essentially means that we can FINALLY see what's going on in the Battle of Winterfell.

However, you need to have HBO Max's ad-free plan to access the new formats so it might be worth upgrading for a month so that you can binge-watch everything again in preparation of the prequel series that comes out on August 21.

You can see what the series looks like in 4K below in HBO's promo for the 4K option, but fingers crossed this means they left the infamous coffee cup in!
