I FINALLY got to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and it might be one of the more differently-styled movies in the MCU!
Director Sam Raimi, who you might know from the OG Spider-Man films and the Evil Dead franchise, really brings his horror roots to the film and it might be a little divisive for MCU fans who expect the Marvel formula to happen in every movie. Also both Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen were the shining stars of this movie and we need a Scarlet Witch movie ASAP!!
Here are some of my initial, SPOILER-FREE, thoughts on the film and what stood out to me just in case you need more (or less) incentive to watch it:
- You really only need to see WandaVision before watching this film just because of how heavily involved Wanda Maximoff is in the story so if you haven't caught up them do so before the film.
- Danny Elfman does a phenomenal job with the music in this whether it's remixing the WandaVision or Doctor Strange themes or an epic bass solo during a Scarlet Witch scene that will have you jamming in your seat.
- Xochitl Gomez is a welcome addition to the MCU and even though this is the start of her time in the MCU, I'm excited to see what comes next for her!
- Halfway during the film you will be jumping out of your seat and I'm not saying why, but things really got out of hand!!
- There are some moments of bad CGI, but they don't detract from the film enough to take you out of the movie.
- This isn't the end of the multiverse stories in the MCU and fingers crossed it leads to something fans have been wanting for years!
- There are TWO end-credits scenes with one setting up the future of Doctor Strange's story and the other being a funny moment to send fans home with.

I'm giving Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 8.5 out of 10 multiverses and I would totally recommend seeing it in theaters just for some of those cameo reveals alone! Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is in theaters starting on May 6th!
