It's already been a year since the PlayStation 5 first came out and it's just as impossible to buy a console as it was last year, but Sony is hoping to help you out this year for the holidays!

The video game console is still facing supply and shipping issues because of the pandemic, but Sony is giving potential buyers the chance to secure one by registering for the chance to buy one!

Similar to the PS5 pre-order program Sony launched in 2020, PlayStation's "console order reservation" page lets you get sent emails for the chance to buy a PS5 and all you need to submit is your PlayStation Network ID (PSN ID).

Customers who are selected can only purchase one console and a limited number of accessories. Each invitation is limited to:

  • 1 PS5 console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
  • 2 DualSense wireless controllers
  • 1 PS5 Media Remote
  • 1 Pulse 3D wireless headset

There's no guarantee you'll still be able to buy a PS5, but it's at least easier than having to fight people in a Walmart or electronics store near you to secure the bag!
