When brushing your teeth, hopefully at least twice a day, do you normally finish your time in the bathroom with mouthwash? Turns out you shouldn't be!

Thanks to London-based dentist Anna Peterson who is going viral on TikTok for her dental advice, you actually should NEVER use mouthwash immediately after brushing your teeth because it can rinse away all that hard work you spent brushing.

The dentist says that mouthwash has less fluoride than toothpaste and that when you rinse away the toothpaste that it leaves your teeth more susceptible to decay or cavities. She has over 1.8 MILLION views on her initial TikTok, which you can see below!

Also her recommendation for when to use mouthwash is after eating a meal at home just to freshen things up during the middle of the day!
