We all get songs stuck in our heads at random times, but apparently chewing gum can help you move past that song and not have it stuck in your head all day!
According to new research, you can chew gum to get rid of any "earworms" in your head because it distracts your brain away from constantly thinking about the same song.
Apparently the same pathways in our brain that are used for replaying music are also used for repeated jaw movements, which causes the switch.
Other ways that can help you get rid of an "earworm" is by reading to yourself or playing an instrument, but now you have some defense mechanisms to try out whenever your fave song won't leave your head!
