This might sound hard to believe at first, but a video game has been approved by the FDA to be prescribed as medicine to help treat symptoms of ADHD.
The US Food and Drug Administration announced earlier this week that EndevourRX by Akili Interactive will become the first game to be marketed as medicine in America after recent studies showed that it is beneficial to those impaired by ADHD.
Doctors will be able to prescribe the game to children between 8-12 as an additional supplement to existing ADHD treatments and can only be accessed on a prescription.
In the game players are asked to float down a river and collect targets and you can even customize your character.
You can see a trailer of the game below, and to join the waiting list for the game you can go HERE!
