If you prefer going to an AMC theater for ALL of your movie needs, then you might want to find a backup theater chain, because starting today they will no longer be showing ANY Universal movies for the foreseeable future!

The decision came after Universal Pictures decided to release some of its movie early on VOD (Video On-Demand) instead of releasing them in theaters after the success of Trolls: World Tour only releasing on-demand.

After some back and forth between both companies' CEOs, AMC decided to pull the plug on EVERY Universal release for the time being, which includes the following movies and franchises:

  • Candyman
  • F9 (Fast & Furious 9)
  • Jurassic World: Dominion
  • Minions: The Rise of Gru

Now this could all be a "game of chicken" to see who breaks first, but do you care what theater you see your movies in and does this affect you? Let us know!
