IHOP is Opening A Fast-Casual Version Of Itself!

Get ready to start eating pancakes a lot more because IHOP has announced plans to open a new “to go” restaurant called Flip’d, which will have an all-day breakfast menu with a focus on speed and convenience! What’s that mean? Essentially you walk in, order at a counter, and can eat there or take it away.

The restaurants will only be about half the size of the average IHOP, but will offer new ordering technology like digital kiosks and online ordering, with a focus on to-go menu items.

The first location is opening in Atlanta this spring and the chain is looking to expand to sites in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. The menu will include a lot of items found at your local IHOP, but Flip’d will also have pancake bowls, a DIY pancake bar and hand-crafted espresso drinks.
