Prepare yourself for some sad news for your Netflix queue because The Office will be leaving the streaming service in January 2021.
The new home for The Office will be NBC Universal's upcoming streaming service, which will launch in the next few years, and will give the new service one of Netflix's most-viewed shows.
Netflix's deal with NBC Universal ends in 2020, which gives the company the rights back to its own show and the news came out of the blue yesterday when Netflix tweeted about the news shortly after it became public:
Now we still have about a year and a half left to enjoy watching The Office for the millionth time, but just cherish the good times, before you have to watch the show with ads again on the NBC Universal streaming service.
Also just a heads-up that Friends will reportedly be leaving Netflix by 2020 as well!
