This is Why Marvel Hasn't Made Any New Hulk Movies in Forever!

We can all agree that Mark Ruffalo has been the best version of Bruce Banner/The Hulk and while he's been a highlight in EVERY MCU movie he's been in we might not see him get a solo film anytime soon!

It turns out that because of Universal's partnership with Marvel on the 2003 and 2008 Hulk films that they get a cut of the profit for any future Hulk movie.

Now we know Sony has the rights to Spider-Man and that they make most of the profit whenever a solo Spider-Man film comes out, like Spider-Man: Far From Home, so it makes sense that Marvel doesn't want to split the box office with another film company for another big MCU hero.

Here is what Ruffalo said in an interview with our friends at Collider who asked him about a solo film:

As far as a Hulk movie, a standalone Hulk movie, Marvel doesn’t really have the rights to that yet. That’s still Universal’s property, so there’s that issue. That’s a big impediment to moving forward with that. Now I don’t think that’s insurmountable, by the way, but I don’t know where it’s going from here for me.

On the bright side, we'll always have Professor Hulk from Avengers: Endgame and if you want to check out one of his best scenes from the film then watch the video below, but beware of spoilers!
