If you didn't know that there is a Video Game Hall of Fame then now you do and they just announced this year's inductees and they include a ton of classic games that probably introduced you to gaming!
This year's inductees include: Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Kart, Colossal Cave Adventure, and Windows Solitaire. Yes you read that right, the free game that you probably played when your Internet was down or saw your parents playing religiously is getting the recognition it deserves!
The Video Game Hall of Fame is part of The Strong's National Museum of Play and inducts new video games every year, but all these games this year are classics!
The game that were nominated, but didn't make the final round this year included: Half-Life, Asteroids, Dance Dance Revolution, call of Duty, Metroid, Minecraft, and Ms. Pac-Man. That's the caliber of games we are talking about here people!
Also fun fact that Windows Solitaire has reportedly been played over 35 billion times every year! That's a lot of cards!
