George Mason University Has a Robot Delivery Service

Kind of regretting graduating from George Mason University (GMU) so earlier because they just added a robot delivery service as a part of the meal plans on campus!

GMU announced that starting this semester students can use meal plans to have select food and drink order be delivered to them by robots from Starship Technologies.

I've actually seen the robots on campus and they look like tiny coolers on wheels, you can see for yourself in the picture below, and they can deliver up to 20lbs of food in one go. They also are able to navigate around people and objects with censors around each robot as well!

This semester the robots will be able to deliver food from Blaze Pizza, Starbucks, and Dunkin' Donuts with more places to be added throughout the semester. The interesting thing is that using the service will cost about $1.99 in addition to your meal, which isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things.

If you played your cards right and waited until the end of the semester you could have the entire fleet of 25 robots deliver you food if you save up all the money/meals on your meal plan towards an end-of-the-semester feast!
