A Texas man is facing court order that says he has to pay thousands of dollars in child support for a child that he did not biologically father and who he met only once.
In 2003, a child support court in Texas ruled that Gabriel Cornejo had to pay child support to his ex-girlfriend who had recently given birth because she vowed that there was no way he wasn’t the rightful dad.
Once Cornejo did the DNA test he found out it wasn't his though and didn't pay child support, but a law in Texas says he has to pay for as long as he knew the child existed.
He's currently trying to get the judge to reopen the case to hear his side.
