A horse had a rough night after a late night Taco Bell run. AKA, fourth meal.
The horse and rider were leaving Taco Bell in Riverside, California Saturday when the cover of a utility vault under the sidewalk collapsed, causing the horse to drop into a 5-feet-deep hole.
Photographs from the incident show the city fire department working together to try to lift the horse from the hole back onto the sidewalk. The City of Riverside's Heavy Animal Rescue Team had to be called in when the fire department realized they could not lift the animal safely back onto the sidewalk.
The animal finally managed to climb out of the hole with the help of the rescue team and the animal's owner.
Thankfully, the horse avoided serious injuries and suffered minor cuts on his legs.
