A new Chrome browser extension is here to the rescue! It's called "NOPE," and it provides the you with a seemingly professional way to tell people to go away!
How it Works!
1.) You download the extension, add your phone number, and when someone comes to bother you, press the "nope button" on your browser.
2.)The app then calls you!
During the call all you have to say is "Hello," and a recorded voice on the other end intones gives you steps to get out of that awkward conversation,
3.) The automated voice will say "on the count of three put your hand to your mouth as if you're hearing bad news."
"NOPE" even knows how to get rid of stubborn person! Nope gives you a suggestion for you:
"Repeat these words after me in a serious and concerned tone: 'Yes of course I can talk now, what's the matter?'"
And like that, you're alone again — ready to get back to what ever you were doing!
Nope is the creation of Breather, a company that offers up office rental space for "off-sites, meetings, spillover space, and more" — sort of like an Airbnb for workers looking for a little alone time. The phone call doubles as an ad for their service, a fact which some will likely find a small price to pay for the out it provides.
