I appreciate any form of potatoes and the fact that 7-Eleven is introducing a tater tot bar has me on cloud 9.
The tots can be treated like nachos or hot dogs, with condiments ranging from jalapenos, onions and pico de gallo to load on. Chili and cheese are also available, but cost extra. The actual tots cost $1 for a set of 10, and $2 for 25.
According to FoodBeast, the tots are cooked in those standard 7-Eleven microwave ovens, so the only thing lacking here may be the crispiness. But you can mask the lack of crisp with all those toppings! And hey, if these tots take off, 7-Eleven might get fancy and cook them in an actual oven (or at least a convection oven) later down the line. All I know is that this is the start of something that’s maybe good?
