This Girl Made A 20-Foot Billboard To Find A Stranger She Saw On The Subway

What Devin Custalow did to get her crush's attention makes all of us look like rookies. In search of a mystery man she felt she had a connection with, she had a 20-foot mural made on the street of Brooklyn, New York.

The 25-year-old was on the subway in NYC in October when she caught the eye of a cute stranger and felt a connection. She didn't know anything about him but that he was attractive, has a mole on the right cheek and was wearing yellow shoes.

According to CBS, Devin said,”I was on the way home from Coney Island with my roommate and we noticed this cute guy catching our attention on the subway and throughout the trip he kept getting closer and closer.” She continued, “We kept making eye contact like the whole time.”

They got off the train, and were heading towards the same connecting train, but Devin didn't make it in time. She decided to make a Craigslist post about him, and soon the MGM hotel contacted her to help her find the mystery man.

The hotel painted a 20-foot billboard in Williamsburg and it says, “Yellow shoes guy on the G train: I was the brunette in the green pants. You were in yellow shoes, glancing at me and pretended not to listen to me and my roommate discuss how I wanted to talk to you. I even missed my stop in hopes that you would say something, but you never did. I know you probably won’t see this but if you do, say his this time.”

In smaller letters, the mural says, “If you’re out there, meet here on Valentine’s Day 2/14 at 1:00pm.”

If you’re looking for a happy ending, you’re out of luck. Yellow Shoes guy never showed up. CBS reports that even her family and friends were nearby with flowers along with a film crew in hopes of capturing the encounter.
