Birthdays and holidays are fun because it's a time when family and friends get together to celebrate! If someone close to you has passed away, these celebratory events can be a sad reminder.
For Bailey Sellers whose father Michael William Sellers passed away in 2012, he made sure he would always be "present" for her birthday.
Every year on her birthday, her dad sent her a bouquet of flowers. She shared on her Twitter a picture of her 21st birthday flowers and how her dad is still celebrating her birthday despite him not being with her anymore.
“My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he pre payed flowers so I could receive them every year on my birthday. Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy.”
In 2012, Michael was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and passed away six months later.
In Michael's note that came with Bailey's flowers this year, he explained how this would be the last year he would be sending her flowers. Even though the flowers will stop coming, he will always be with her.
Because this is the last year that Bailey will get birthday flowers, she is a little more heartbroken than usual.
