Ellen DeGeneres caused an eruption in Houston after tweeting on Monday that she'd be at the University of Houston Campus on Tuesday giving away tickets to the World Series.
Though she has since shared another tweet saying her show would be on campus at 3:30 p.m., DeGeneres' original tweet didn't include any specific information, so people began gathering as early as 9 a.m. in hopes of meeting the comedian.
Thousands of fans and students gathered in front of the E. Cullen building, and have been tweeting out photos and memes in anticipation of DeGeneres' arrival.

Students shared tweets about skipping class, while others complained about not being able to make it to campus.
Despite all the tweets and speculations, DeGeneres keeps sharing cryptic posts.
Her last was posted around 1:45 p.m., and said..
