This Dog's Hurricane Harvey Story Will Hit You In The Feels

Hurricane Harvey has been wrecking havoc on southeast Texas. Due to the flooding, people are seeking shelter and unfortunately many shelters don't allow pets. Many pets are being abandoned in the awful weather, and unfortunately many are being left tied up!

Daily Mail photographer Ruaridh Connellan spotted a small dog on her leash that was tethered to a pole. The dog was trying to stay afloat above rising waters, but being tied up was causing complications.

Connellan rushed across the flood water and untied the dog, bringing her to safer, dry grounds. He named her "Lucky". He then went around the trailer park where she was abandoned and found more animals that had been left. There was a pitbull, two cats and a small pony.

He reported all the animals to animal control where they are currently being held. He plans on adopting lucky after the flooding passes!
