Millennial pink, it's everywhere. The warm hue is less intimidating than its brighter counterparts, and is a nice change from your go-to black. Although the shade is all over, it's not this summer's most coveted color! In fact, this season's most popular color is ... wait for it ... navy blue!
While navy blue to some may be considered 'preppy' or old, I think you need to rethink the greatness of this hue. The last two summers, I have personally been using navy as a substitute for my mostly black wardrobe. It's added a fresh, even chic, look to my adult life.
In an interview with Refinery29, Marissa Gibbons, co-founder and CEO of Parcel, an e-commerce app, says, “According to Parcel product data, one color noticeably outranks today’s super popular Millennial pink — and it’s basically the pastel’s polar opposite: navy. But, before your recoil from flashbacks of bad school uniforms…give us a chance to clear the bad (or, rather, boring) rap of this underrated summer neutral. Yes, summer neutral.”
So, next time you're about to put on your favorite outfit, maybe try grabbing something with navy instead.
