As if the details of his attack were not scary enough — he wielded a knife and slashed open his ex's mattress in addition to attacking her in front of a child — further investigation by the police found a suspicious scene in her attic.
According to People, officers found bedding, food, and bottles full of urine in the victim's attic, leading them to believe that Broussard may have been living there in order to stalk her. She had called the police to report his behavior in late April (when he was see entering his ex's house, without her permission), days before the May 3 attack.
Broussard faces several felony charges.
