You read that right! After almost 10 long years, MTV will be launching a new show inspired by TRL! Tentatively called MTV Live, the new show will film every afternoon starting on June 12!
MTV Live will film in the same Times Square studio that served as the home of the original TRL, which is currently being rebuilt to hold TWICE the amount of people! While it won't exactly be a direct follow-up to TRL, the new show will feature a mix of music and live elements and it may air for three to four hours each day!
Who would you want to host the new live show? My money is on Chris Hardwick and if you want to relive the glory days of TRL, here are The Backstreet Boys performing "I Want It That Way" back in the day!
