Starbucks is changing the game (once again) and adding an interesting food item to their menu. They have definitely branched out from the typical pastries you see at most coffee shops with their new salads, wraps, and sandwiches, but this is definitely out of the box. Starbucks has announced that at specific locations in Chicago, they are rolling out (literally) a new menu item-- a Sushi Burrito. They describe it as a "Chicken Maki Roll: A classic California chicken burrito with a twist – the chicken maki roll is rolled in sushi rice and wrapped with nori. The roll is filled with slow cooked, shredded chicken, fire roasted tomatillo salsa, lime crema, fresh cucumber and pickled cabbage with onions, avocado and crispy onion."
This is just one of the items being added to their new Starbucks Mercato menu, which aims to be a new lunch spot. Would you eat a sushi burrito from Starbucks?
