We have a new addition to the live-action Bat-family because In the Heights' Leslie Grace has just been cast as the first live-action version of Batgirl for her own HBO Max original film!
Grace, who played Nina in the film adaptation of In The Heights, apparently beat out other actresses including Isabella Merced, Zoey Deutch, and Haley Lu for the role and it was her performance in the film that helped her secure the role.
There’s no word yet on when Batgirl will be released, but when it does it should be streaming on HBO Max instead of releasing in theaters and that it will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the directing duo behind Bad Boys for Life.
