Hoody Reviews 'Borat Subsequent Moviefilm' In 60 Seconds Or Less

I got to see Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (Borat 2) this weekend and I got to say it was funnier than the first Borat movie and is a perfect film to watch during the next month!

Sacha Baron Cohen is back and while you can kind of expect all the antics his Borat character will be up to, it's actually his fictional daughter Tutar, played by newcomer Maria Bakalova who steals the whole movie.

Here are some of my initial, SPOILER-FREE, thoughts on the film and what stood out to me:

  • The funniest scene of the movie had to involve cakes, baby figurines, and a certain doctor, but I won't spoil that for you.
  • Was definitely really hard to pinpoint some of the scenes that were staged and some of them that were actually real which is good/bad depending on your point of view.
  • The Rudy Giuliani moment is in the movie and no matter what they say happens, something did happen that was kind of creepy
  • The movie was filmed during the beginning of the COVID pandemic and it's so weird/cool to see how they were able to do everything under restrictions

I'm giving Borat Subsequent Moviefilm 8.3 out of 10 cake babies, which you'll get after you see the movie, but if you're looking for a comedy film to entertain you before the election then this is perfect! Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is currently streaming on Prime Video!
