Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Is Modernizing An Iconic Trick Name

We're a few weeks away from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater from being back in our lives and it looks like the remake will not only update the game's graphics, but will also be updating some of the trick names to better reflect the world we live in!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 4th and you can see the game's latest trailer below!

The game will be updating the name of the “mute grab” to honor the creator of the move, Chris Weddle and the reason behind this change was because the move was originally called the "mute grab" because other skaters thought Weddle, who originated the move, was actually mute.

It turned out that he was actually only deaf and after speaking with Weddle, Tony Hawk decided to change the name to the "Weddle Grab" instead.

You'll actually be able to pull off the move in the upcoming game and it will have the modernized name attached to it to honor Weddle's legacy.
