One of the biggest conventions in gaming, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has officially been cancelled thanks to the coronavirus!
After weeks of rumors that the annual gaming convention was struggling because of several companies pulling out this year, it was the coronavirus that was the final nail in the coffin according to multiple sources.
E3 2020 was scheduled to take place June 9-11 in Los Angeles and is where press, developers, and fans get to interact and show off the big video games of the next year.
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which is based in Washington DC, made the official announcement today, but it was video game publisher Devolver Digital that kind of tipped off everyone's radars of the announcement earlier this week. Here is what they tweeted:
The ESA said it is “exploring options with our members to coordinate an online experience to showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020.”
