Get ready to head back into the Spider-Verse because a sequel to 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is OFFICIALLY coming out April 8th, 2022!
The social media accounts for the movie first teased an announcement earlier last week and it wasn't until Friday when they revealed that a follow-up film would be coming in a little over two years.
You can see the announcement video below, but for comic-book/superhero movie fans this is exciting news because not only did Into the Spider-Verse win an Academy Award for Best Animated Film at the 2019 Oscars, but it's highly regarded as one of the best Spider-Man movies.
There's no word on what the plot of the film will exactly be about, but you can pretty much guarantee that Miles Morales will be returning and there are even rumors that Spider-Woman might be making her first movie appearance!
