Get ready to commit even more of your week to The CW because they just announced they are developing a NEW Arrowverse spinoff show based on Superman and Lois Lane!
This would be the first live-action television show based on Superman since the 2011 finale of Smallville. It will also be the first Superman-related show to star Clark Kent as Superman since 1993’s Lois & Clark!
Thanks to our friends at Deadline the spin-off show will star Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as they will reprise their roles from their various appearances on Supergirl and all the other Arrowverse shows for the past few crossover episodes on The CW.
The show will apparently follow Clark and Lois as they pursue their journalistic and superheroic careers and “deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”
This makes sense because they last time we saw the character, before this year's Crisis on Infinite Earths, was when they announced they were moving to a different city and that they were pregnant.
Now who knows what this means for Supergirl in the near future, maybe they can co-exist as bookmarks to the Arrowverse? In the meantime, check out Tyler Hoechlin's "not-so-subtle" post about the announcement below!
