Get ready to learn about A LOT more superheroes because Marvel is fully investing in Disney+ by introducing several new superheroes during its second wave of programming!
During Disney's D23 Expo, Kevin Feige announced that Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight will each get their own series on Disney+ and that they will connect to the larger MCU! At the same time, the characters introduced in each series will be introduced into the movies later down the line!
One of the biggest news stories from this is that Marvel will FINALLY be making a live-action version of its first Muslim superhero with Ms. Marvel!
Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, lives in Jersey City, New Jersey and idolizes Captain Marvel, which makes now a perfect time to introduce her character after the success of Captain Marvel. There's no word on casting just yet, but this is a HUGE step in diversifying the MCU!
Even though Ms. Marvel will be making big waves for diversity in the MCU, that doesn't lessen the fact that both She-Hulk AND Moon Knight will get live-action representations! The current front-runner for She-Hulk is Rosario Dawson and we all want Keanu Reeves to play Moon Knight if possible!
