Disney's 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge' Park Opens in May

Get ready to book your next Disney trip a lot sooner than you think because Disney Parks has announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, aka the Star Wars Land, will open in both Disneyland and Disney World this Summer!

Disneyland will be the first park to have the new area as it will open Galaxy's Edge on May 31st while Disney World will open up the area around August 29th.

Both parks will consist of 14 acres of Star Wars goodness which will be called the Black Spire Outpost set on the planet of Batuu.

Guests will be able to eat and drink food and beverages based on the Star Wars galaxy while also shopping in many of the memorabilia in all the park's stores.

However, the highlight of Galaxy's Edge will be the all new ride called Smugglers Run that has guests take the controls of the Millennium Falcon. Check out the reveal video below.

Just a word of warning that for the first month both parks are open guests will only be able to enter based on a reservation system that has yet to be revealed. If you're planning on going to California or Florida this Summer just make sure to get those reservations way ahead of time!
