Netflix Has Canceled The Punisher and Jessica Jones

Before you read the rest of this article just go ahead and have the music video to Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" play.

Well it finally happened, even though we predicted it months ago, because Netflix has canceled the last of its original Marvel programming after canceling both The Punisher and Jessica Jones on President's Day.

They were the last two shows from The Defenders, aka Netflix's MCU, and even though they both were canceled we'll at least get the last season of Jessica Jones still when it premieres later this year.

Marvel's head of television, essentially the TV version of Kevin Feige, had this to say about Netflix canceling the shows:

"On behalf of everyone at Marvel Television, we couldn't be more proud or more grateful to our audience. Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters... but you know Marvel better than that. As Matthew Murdock's Dad once said, 'The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it's how he gets back up."

Now does this mean all of them will get a revival on Disney+ or will it be the last we see of Marvel's street-level heroes for the time being?
