X-Men Spin-Off "Legion" is Ending After Three Seasons

It looks like we're one step close to the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as FX has just announced that its X-Men spin-off show, Legion , will end after its third season coming out in 2019.

With 20th Century Fox merging with Disney later this year this makes sense as Disney is most likely trying to limit the number of interpretations of the franchises it is about to acquire, which includes properties like the X-Men, The Fantastic Four.

If you haven't caught up on the show or started it yet the show is focused on the main protagonist David Heller who in the comics was the son of Professor Xavier. David was played by Dan Stevens, who also played Beast from Beauty and the Beast , and also starred Aubrey Plaza, who you might recognize from Parks and Recreation .

Even though the third season will end the show this is how series creator Noah Hawley always planned the show to run for.

While no specific premiere date has been given for the third season we do know that it will finally have a cameo by Professor X who will be played by Harry Lloyd who was Viserys in Game of Thrones .

Check out the trailer for Season 2 of Legion below to get a vibe of what the show is all about as it comes to a conclusion some time in 2019!
