Call of Duty, Overwatch, Rocket League and now…Pokémon?!
Earlier this week the Pokémon Company announced that they will be entering the arena of eSports. Appropriately named “P-Sports”, challengers will get the opportunity to face celebrities, YouTube/ social media personalities, and top gamers in Pokémon matches!
They even have a current Elite Four that is made up of Hiroshi Yamamoto, from the Japanese comedy trio "Robert", YouTuber Hajime Shacho, a Pokémon trainer named 'Raibarori' and one other trainer. Elite Four members will shift and change throughout the season.
Viewers can watch starting January 24, with new episodes airing every Saturday at 9 P.M. JST.
