It is “Award Season” for the movie, television and music industries, and the anime industry is no different!
Crunchyroll, the online streaming service, has announced their selections for the 2018 Anime Awards! With categories like “Best Film” and “Best Animation” to “Best Boy/Girl”, the categories look to highlight some of the best Anime and Manga from this past year or so. Overall, I have only seen a handful of some of the shows/movies on the list, but I have heard great things about a lot of them! Of course, I have a few favorites that I want to win. (I absolutely ADORED Recovery of an MMO Junkie, and Your Name. is just as beautiful artistically as it is emotionally) I am curious to see how these awards shake out!
The Anime Awards will be held in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, February 24th. It will be live-streamed around the world via Twitch. Voting Starts Monday, January 22.
