Even though Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi hasn't come out yet, Lucasfilm and Disney are already putting their faith in the film's director Rian Johnson who they have now tapped to direct THREE more Star Wars films!
Johnson will be creating a new trilogy of Star Wars films that does not focus on the Skywalker saga and will explore new characters in the Star Wars galaxy! Johnson's tweet reacting to the announcement pretty much sums up how we all feel right now!
Disney also confirmed that they are creating a Star Wars TV series that will be shown exclusively on their future streaming service!!
Hopefully The Last Jedi lives up to the hype so all this can happen!!
