FBI Reveals Details From Yesterday's Incident at Pentagon

Multiple People Shot After Gunman Opens Fire At Pentagon Transit Center

The FBI has revealed more detailed information regarding the incident at the Pentagon yesterday that left an officer and the suspect dead.

The Official FBI Washington Field Twitter account said in a thread that Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Officer George Gonzalez was stabbed around 10:40AM by 27-year-old Austin William Lanz of Acworth, GA.

Lanz was getting off of a bus at the Pentagon Transit Center when he attacked Officer Gonzalez. After the initial altercation, Lanz shot himself with Officer Gonzalez's gun and died at the scene.

In addition, a bystander was injured with non-life threatening injuries and taken to a hospital.
