Jennifer Lopez Shares Teaser & Release Date For New Romcom 'Marry Me'

Jennifer Lopez's new film has a release date!

The “If You Had My Love” singer unveiled an exclusive teaser of her upcoming movie, Marry Me, a romantic comedy slated to open in theaters on Valentine’s Day 2021. Lopez set the release date in a special way earlier this week when she shared a sneak peek of the film, starring Owen Wilson, Maluma, John Bradley, Sarah Silverman, and Jameela Jamil.

“SAVE THE DATE 💕!!!! @marrymemovie is coming to theaters this Valentine’s Day,” the 51-year-old announced on Instagram Tuesday (September 15). RSVP by dropping a 🤍 in the comments! ✨#OwenWilson @maluma @egt239 #MarryMeMovie #MarryMeAlbum #NuyoricanProductions.”

Marry Me, Lopez’s first flick since starring in and co-producing 2019’s Hustlers, is based on Bobby Crosby’s graphic novel of the same name. Added fun fact: the film will mark her on-screen reunion with Wilson, with whom she starred in the 1997 blockbuster Anaconda.

The basis for the movie follows the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” musician portraying Katalina, a Latin pop star who chooses to marry a stranger (Wilson) at her live concert after learning her on-stage partner, Bastian (Maluma), is having a secret love affair.

The songstress first confirmed her attachment to the movie back in April 2019. What’s more, Lopez and Maluma will record the soundtrack, consisting of at least 10 songs, for the film in both English and Spanish.
