Dakota Johnson's Awkward Ellen DeGeneres Interview Goes Viral

Dakota Johnson's recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

Last week, Johnson, 30, took to the daytime talk show to chat with the comedian, 61, and the actress' first topic of conversation led the tone of the awkward interview for the next few minutes. During the discussion, which has racked up more than two million views over the holiday weekend, DeGeneres kicks off the conversation by wishing the star a happy belated birthday wish and an inquiry as to why she wasn't invited to the celebration. Note: Johnson's birthday occurred this past October. Unfortunately, DeGeneres must have mixed up her dates because she was indeed invited to her 30th bash, particularly after not receiving an invite in 2018.

"Actually, no, that’s not the truth, Ellen. You were invited," Dakota calmly replied. "Last time I was on the show, last year, you gave me a bunch of sh*t about not inviting you, but I didn’t even know you wanted to be invited because I didn't even know you liked me...I did invite you, but you didn't come."

Interestingly enough, Johnson's birthday party occurred on October 5, which happens to be the same weekend that DeGeneres attended the Dallas Cowboys football game with George W. Bush. Cue the awkward silence. Scroll on below to see some of the reactions to the chat and the interview clip itself!
